I smile when I see a term I inserted into our vocabulary, sometimes in tech, and sometimes in the whole language, at least on a temporary basis.

Today‘s term is “demo god.”

That‘s the title I gave Scott Love at Living Videotext. He was amazing, a natural born showman and a true believer. when it came to demos, Scott was a true godlike human.

later I gifted the term to my friend Stewart Alsop for his Demo conference, which was itself an idea I pitched him. I was fed up with endless bullshit speeches at his other conference, and just wanted to see the freaking product. the idea was picked up by another friend Mike Arrington for his demo-focused Disrupt conference.

There are people who do great demos but there was only one Scott Love the original demo god of tech.
